PLAYLAND Kindergarten
From a child’s self-portrait to a 3D artwork.
We visited Playland Kindergarten to introduce the children to the world of design and 3D printing – and to explore how a simple drawing can travel from paper to digital design and finally become a real, three-dimensional artwork.
The children were invited to draw themselves freely, without rules or filters. Their spontaneous lines, expressions and imagination became the starting point of a creative journey.

THE IDEA
A child’s self-portrait is more than a drawing. It is a small expression of personality, imagination and the way they see themselves.
Each child was encouraged to create their own self-portrait in their own unique way, allowing their natural creativity to lead the process.
THE TRANSFORMATION
Each original drawing was carefully recreated through digital design and transformed into a three-dimensional relief artwork.
Throughout the process, we focused on preserving the distinctive lines, shapes and character of each drawing – keeping the authentic “signature” of the child who created it.
THE RESULT
The drawings became small physical artworks that the children could see, experience and recognise as their own creations.
The final pieces transformed something familiar and personal – a drawing on paper – into something tangible and lasting.
THE EXPERIENCE
The presentation of the artworks became a celebration shared by the children, their parents and educators.
It was an opportunity to see creativity from a different perspective and to discover how modern technology can give new form to a child’s imagination.
THE TAKEAWAY
Creativity has no age.
When imagination meets technology, even the simplest lines can become something remarkable.
And in the end, the most powerful creative force is not technology.
It is the imagination of a child.
